Everything is handmade using time, energy, and creativity that is as diverse as the personalities of those who sell these products. We value our goods and enjoy creating items that will bless other people’s lives.

Why another online store?

Palmetto Handmade is not attempting to “reinvent the wheel” by selling products online. It is simply another unique way for merchants to contribute to the community of e-commerce and gain exposure on a grassroots level to those who have a special love for South Carolina. It is our hope that this web site will provide additional ways for merchants in South Carolina to network with others.

Why “Palmetto” Handmade?

If you live in South Carolina or have ever visited the state, you can look all around and see evidence that people love the heritage and symbolism of the palmetto tree. It graces the state flag as well as bumper stickers, blankets, license plates, and all of the cute accessories that Southern girls like to wear! For South Carolinians the love of the palmetto tree goes all the way back to the Revolutionary War when palmetto logs were used in forts against the British. There’s plenty of “palmetto pride” ’round these parts, y’all!
